Artist's Comments

Thanks to mizzd, whose picture of a truly ancient I used in this release, I have permission to upload "The Tree Nymph". I have not worked a lot with Photoshop in the past, and I know it's not perfect, but I love it nevertheless. mizzd's picture of a tree offered a marvellous scene to start from. With the use of spiritsighs's extraordinary brushes and much time I tried to craft a hallucinatory vision of nature's spirit, in contrast to the human-wrought pollution stupidity in the background.

The magic is still there in some places, like this magnificent and ancient tree, which proclaims the truth about life and the beauty of nature just by its tranquil existence. Just leave this being alone and it grows to something more magnificient than all the buildings and things we strive so hard to erect. And if you look even deeper than most people care to do, and open your mind and your eyes, you may realize that nature's a living, complex being, and us humans just a small part of it. We should treat it with more respect.

Thanks to *mizzd-stock again for giving me permission to use her contest-stock !

I agree with every single word you said! That's what I personally think. So sad that very many people don't see those things, don't treat nature properly...
The tree on this art is great, very old, full of memories... and so beautiful...

i am so happy you like my nymph. And you're the first one who read what it's all about  - there's still some hope, then :) The picture of the tree was not made by me, as you can see in the description...

We will be known by the tracks we leave behind.
Humankind has not woven the web of life, we are but one thread within it.
Whatever we do to the web we do to ourselves.
All things are bound together, all things connect.
